2022 REFLECTION

Updated: Dec 6, 2022

Reflection time allows you to "pivot" when necessary, dwell on lessons learned, recharge, and set new intentions. As I reflect on 2022, I am overwhelmed with feelings of love and support. I am sure that the love has always been there... however, this year I've allowed myself to slow down and actually "feel" it.

2022 for me is all about giving thanks. Thanks to those who pour into my business regularly, and thanks to God for keeping my wheels in motion towards the direction of my dreams.

Here are a few of the lessons I'm carrying with me into the new year:

  1. "Delegate to elevate." - This advice was given to me by numerous people. In order to scale the business, I am learning that it is okay to ask for help.

  2. Failure is a part of the process. - This is always said, but had been difficult for me to accept. In studying existential philosophy, I've come to understand that stressors, difficulties, and trials are a part of the human experience. If you remain grounded, humble, faithful, and resilient, these challenges are the ones that build you. I have had many failures establishing the parameters of The Neat Suite, but each one was necessary for business and personal development.

  3. Recharge as often as needed - You would never let your car run out of fuel, so why would you let your body or your mind. Take mental breaks, get a professional mentor, surround yourself with loved ones, meditate, stretch, drink water, and immerse yourself in all that you love. It's well worth it and well-deserved.

  4. Pay for the help you need. Everything got easier when I stopped trying to fidget with my camera and paid a professional photographer. I stopped stressing over my budget, and enlisted the help of an accountant and an advisor. I quit trying to do it all, and hired a housekeeper. The list goes on... The point is - I've learned not to feel any less of a woman or any less of a boss by outsourcing my recurring needs.
